In principle, all location symbols can be used as an articulator.

Nonmanual components are not sufficently developed in HamNoSys. Up to now movements of articulators other than the hands have to be described with the movement inventory of HamNoSys. Presently, detailed descriptions are not possible.
Based upon HamNoSys some encoding attempts are available.
