eSIGN Partners

eSIGN brings together internationally recognised organisations representing global excellence in their field. They will combine 3D avatar animation, human language technologies, and eGovernment expertise to offer deaf people full access to eGovernment services by providing these services in sign language.

University of Hamburg – Institute of German Sign Language and Communication of the Deaf (DE)

A research facility working in the areas of language research, child language development, bilingualism, sign language lexicography, multimedia applications, and development of teaching materials for sign language.

EDS Business Solutions GmbH (DE)

EDS Business Solutions GmbH is one the subsidiaries of EDS, one of the global players in IT services and Electronic Business. SI provides strategy, implementation, business transformation and operational solutions for clients managing the business and technology complexities of the digital economy.

Televirtual (UK)

An advanced entertainment technology company, with expertise in the areas of digital animation, virtual reality characters, motion capture and environments. Televirtual offers advanced independent motion capture studio as a service to animators, video games designers and broadcasters.

Royal National Institute for Deaf People (UK)

is the largest charity representing the 9 million deaf and hard of hearing people in the UK. As a membership charity, we aim to achieve a radically better quality of life for deaf and hard of hearing people. We do this by campaigning and lobbying vigorously, by raising awareness of deafness and hearing loss, by providing services and through social, medical and technical research.
