User survey
Our goal is to make the dictionary match the expectations of the linguistic community and other user groups. Therefore we need your help. We can only achieve this goal by getting feedback from all future user groups about what information the electronic dictionary should contain and in which way this information should be presented. With this we are especially addressing deaf, hearing impaired, post-lingual deaf people but also hearing people with varying knowledge of DGS. For this purpose we will make a survey on this site in the near future.
Inquiry of gestures
Until the end of 2011 we are looking for 300 sign language competent deaf people for shots from all over Germany. They must either have been living in a certain region for a long time or have grown up there. The shots will always be carried out with two deaf people. They will take a day and take place in 12 different places in Germany.
Feedback
For many signs we will need further information, e.g. in which regions they are used or for which meanings a certain sign is used. This information helps us with the analysis of the language data. For this we need the support of the linguistic community. We will set up the possibility to give us feedback. We would appreciate it, if as many deaf people as possible join in with their knowledge and feel for the language. Sign language competent hearing persons as well as CODAs can also give us feedback. The possibility for feedback will be given through our website.
